East York Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit community service agency that provides good food and social support through caring volunteers to enhance the well being of East York residents.
Founded in 1969, the agency is funded by client fees, donations, memberships, bequests, grants, the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network, and the City of Toronto. East York Meals on Wheels is a registered charity.
The agency is a member of Imagine Canada, the Ontario Community Support Association, and the Volunteer Centre of Toronto.
Older adults and people with health challenges should receive good food and social support to live well at home.

Last year, 195 dedicated volunteers helped more than 400 residents of East York maintain their independence and well-being.
- Meals on Wheels volunteers delivered 32,962 hot and frozen meals to almost 300 clients.
- 142 Diners Club clients enjoyed 1651 meals at approximately 100 social luncheons.
- 17 clients received 3,033 Telephone Reassurance calls.
- EYMOW’s client services co-ordinator made 405 visits to clients in their homes.
